Last night’s episode of Glee was the big New York finale. For McKinley High, Nationals was the chance to prove to everyone and to themselves that they were that good. To be honest, going into the finale, I thought New Directions would win (or place very high). But it was about so much more than that. For Rachel, New York was about choosing her dream over love. For Schue, it was about finding himself and choosing between his dream and the Glee kids he adores so much. For Santana and Brittany, it was about friendship. For Quinn, it was about accepting herself for who she is. And for Finn, it was all about love. As Brittany so aptly explained in this episode, Glee is about family and not about winning. A twelfth place trophy might not be first place but for the Glee kids, their dreams still came true.

Last night’s big two hour season finale of Make It Or Break It “What Lies Beneath/Worlds Apart” was pretty wonderful. The whole season has been leading up to the World Championships and this episode was definitely not a let down. It featured some major breakthroughs for the girls of The Rock, Summer and even KP. I knew she had it in her to be good. There’s also a major twist that I did not see coming.

So the Upfronts are coming to a close, and one network I am particularly enamored with (as I always have been) is the CW. They have announced three new scripted series for the fall season: The Ringer, Hart of Dixie and Secret Circle. I will definitely be checking them out. There is one in particular though that stands out that I am ridiculously excited for. Read on to see which one!

Last night’s episode of Glee, titled “Funeral” was one of the most emotionally resonant to date. And let’s face it, Glee does some pretty emotional episodes. “Funeral” focused on Sue’s sister’s death, and we see a side to Sue that has only really been touched upon in the past. Also, I don’t think there was a single song that I didn’t think was fantastic. One of them gave me chills and another made me cry. There was also a scene between Quinn and Finn that was crazy good. So yeah, I would say this episode of Glee was a favorite.

Last night’s episode of Make It Or Break It, titled “Dog Eat Dog” focused on one of the non-Rock girls, Kelly Parker. I was a little skeptical at first, but actually, last night’s episode was really good. I liked finding out about Kelly Parker’s life. We now know what is behind her bitchyness, and it’s not pretty. This is not to say that the episode didn’t feature The Rock girls at all, because Kaylie and Payson both play a big role. But I enjoyed KP (her new nickname) and her mom/manager, played by Kathy Najimy.

BBC and Discovery have had me intrigued since their series “Life.” The imagery was astounding, and it was such an interesting look at wildlife and the planet. And now, they’ve done it again with “Human Planet.” It already aired on BBC but it’s now out on Blu-Ray for everyone to enjoy the beauty. It’s quite fascinating and I highly recommend it. The images itself are enough to just tune in and enjoy. One story that particularly stood out to me was the Tibet family that had to walk 60 miles in terrible conditions just to get the kids to school! There are many stories like that in “Human Planet,” all of which are equally moving and interesting.

Okay people, here we are. This is it. The Season 2 finale of The Vampire Diaries, “As I Lay Dying.”

We begin with Elena watching sort of creepily over Jeremy while he sleeps. (Okay, I’ll cut her some slack, everyone else is dead and stuff). She suddenly hears a noise and goes to scope it out. She finds Damon who really wants and needs her forgiveness. She can’t give it to him right now, he accepts this and leaves. Man, I love Damon. He goes off to have one last alcoholic beverage over at what is now the Bachelor Pad again. He then takes his ring off and starts to burn in the sun. Stefan comes in and they rumble a bit, but Damon is safe for now (minus the gross wolf bite situation).

The Upfronts are almost upon us! For those not aware, Upfronts take place every spring, and each network makes presentations to advertisers and the media regarding their new shows that have been picked up to series, and old shows that are returning in the fall or mid-season. One of my new guest writers, Andrea Towers (please welcome her), put together a comprehensive look at some new pilots that might be picked up (and some that have gotten early pick-ups). She shares which ones she’s excited about (or not so much) and predicts which ones she thinks will get picked up. Check it out:

As a lover of television, May brings about feelings of both sadness and happiness. I get sad because shows I love are over (some for good, some for just a few months) but I also get excited because there tends to be some new and awesome stuff to look forward to. This year is no exception. Personally, I’m amped for a bunch of pilots that are on deck, both because of their potential stories and because of the actors that are involved.

If you’ve been overwhelmed with trying to keep up on the many shows hoping for a spot in their network’s line up next season, fear not – I’ve compiled a helpful list what you might be able to look forward to come September. As there are over 50 pilots currently vying for pick-up, I won’t talk about all of them…but I’ll try to give as thorough a run-down as possible on the ones you should definitely (in my opinion) keep an eye on, as well as information on what has garnered early pick-ups from the networks.

Tonight is the big season finale of The Vampire Diaries and I, for one, am excited, nervous and scared all at the same time. What’s to come of Damon’s wolf bite? Where did Elijah and Klaus go? Is Klaus going to start his own species? Is there going to be another death? Only time will tell. But I recently had the chance to chat with Daniel Gillies, who plays Elijah, about the passionate fan base, Elijah’s enchantment with Elena, and what he’d like to see from Elijah in season three.

Last night’s episode of Glee titled “Prom Queen” was a touching episode. It’s main focus was on bullying, and coming to terms with your sexuality. Heavy stuff for a show about a Show Choir, but we’ve seen this before with Glee (a lot) and I usually eat up the emotional episodes. Last night’s wasn’t as hard hitting as some have been (hard to believe I know), but to me, the one thing missing was amazing music. There were some great numbers, don’t get me wrong. But most songs were New Directions performing at Prom and I think they could have gone more top 40 with it. All that said, there were some amazing moments in this episode, and I think Chris Colfer probably earned his Emmy nomination again. There was also an amazing scene between Rachel and Quinn that perhaps will develop into something interesting.
