VIDEO INTERVIEW: Tyler Hoechlin (Derek) from Teen Wolf

July 24th, 2012

Tyler Hoechlin

Teen Wolf was crazy last night! Allison’s mom’s story was heartbreaking, even if she was kind of an evil werewolf hunter. And how about all the people at Lydia’s party drinking some crazy punch and seeing their worst nightmares in front of their eyes. Seriously, Stiles, don’t cry! You are the best! The full moon madness was just beginning last night and Derek had to control his new pack members and try to keep the canima from getting out of control. I recently had the chance to talk to Tyler Hoechlin (who plays Derek) about what’s coming up with him and Scott, a possibility for a love interest and Derek’s motivations.

VIDEO INTERVIEW: Tyler Posey (Scott) from Teen Wolf

July 23rd, 2012

Tyler Posey 2

Teen Wolf is all new tonight and after last week’s jam-packed episode, I’m very curious to see what this week will bring. How will Scott react to Allison’s mom trying to kill him? How is Allison’s mom going to take Derek’s bite? And will the whole crazy situation create more problems for Scott and Allison? I recently had the chance to chat with the cast of Teen Wolf at Comic Con. Tyler Posey (Scott) talked about Scott possibly joining Derek’s pack, the Scott/Allison relationship and if he will ever tell his mom the truth.

VIDEO INTERVIEW: Crystal Reed (Allison) from Teen Wolf

July 20th, 2012

Teen Wolf has been pretty great this season. There are new wolves, a new creature and a whole slew of hunters trying to assert their power. But the story is still focused on the impossible love story between Scott and Allison — the werewolf and the girl who is slowly becoming a werewolf hunter. It’s teenage love at its finest, mixed in with some supernatural complications. I recently had the chance to chat with Crystal Reed (who plays Allison) at Comic Con, and she talked about a big choice Allison is going to have to make, what she wants to see from her character going forward and of course, the Allison/Scott relationship.

GIVEAWAY: NBC Olympics Prize Pack – CLOSED

July 20th, 2012

prize pack

I love the Olympics. Seriously. I love it probably as much as I love television in general, which is obviously a lot. I am a huge gymnastics fan (and a gymnast myself, as a kid and now as an adult) and I follow the sport very closely. But I love everything from the Opening Ceremonies to swimming (Lochte vs. Phelps! Missy Franklin!), so I am very excited to offer a fantastic NBC Olympics prize pack. Keep reading to see how you can enter to win.

GIVEAWAY: Political Animals Prize Pack – CLOSED

July 15th, 2012

PA Swag

Political Animals premieres tonight and you can all tell I’m pretty excited about it. Even in the Comic Con haze that I am in, I am glad everyone finally gets to see the premiere tonight. Sigourney Weaver stars as former first lady and current Secretary of State Elaine Barrish Hammond who is attempting to keep her family together while simultaneously dealing with crises of the State Department and fending off the hungry DC journalist (Carla Gugino) who is bent on destroying her career. Exploring themes that resonate in the current political landscape and taking viewers beyond the glossy ads and well-written public speeches, Political Animals will reveal a vulnerable family on the verge of falling apart. Keep reading to see how you can enter to win.

INTERVIEW: Sigourney Weaver (Elaine Barrish) from Political Animals

July 15th, 2012

Elaine

Political Animals premieres on Sunday and it pulls back the curtain on the polished facade of politics to reveal a fractured family. Despite intense public scrutiny, this dynasty cannot escape the magnetic pull of the high stakes world of sex, greed and politics. Sigourney Weaver stars as Elaine Barrish, now out from under the shadow of her husband (and former President), she proves herself to be a gifted politician with a fierce desire to right the wrongs of the world, whether in international diplomatic chambers or in her own living room. Weaver’s performance is powerful and riveting, as is the show. I recently had the chance to chat with the cast of Political Animals at a media junket. Weaver had some incredibly intelligent things to say about her character, why she chose to go into television and who Elaine is modeled after.

INTERVIEW: Ellen Burstyn (Margaret Barrish) from Political Animals

July 15th, 2012

ellenburstyn

If all these interviews have not convinced you to watch Political Animals, I’m not sure anything will! It’s fantastic. You should tune in. One of my favorite characters from the premiere episode is Margaret, played by the amazingly talented Ellen Burstyn. Former first Mother-in-Law Margaret Barrish is the tough, tell-it-like-it-is matriarch of the family, mother to Elaine and grandmother to T.J. and Douglas. A former Vegas showgirl who’s seen (and done) it all, Margaret appreciates a cocktail or two, doesn’t shy away from the limelight and never feels the need to conform to convention. I recently had the chance to chat with her at a media junket where she talked about her involvement in politics, Margaret’s interesting background and what she loves most about her.

INTERVIEW: James Wolk (Doug) and Sebastian Stan (T.J.) from Political Animals

July 14th, 2012

I adore James Wolk and Sebastian Stan. I love their work and when I heard they were cast as brothers on Political Animals, I was incredibly excited. As characters, Doug (Wolk) and T.J. (Stan) are almost polar opposites. Doug is politically motivated and works with his mom. He’s the golden child. But behind the cameras, he’s more flawed than one would think. T.J. was the first kid to come out in the White House, and he has struggled with drug addiction and depression. Both characters are complex and fascinating. I had the chance to talk to both James Wolk and Sebastian Stan about their characters, political families and how T.J. and Doug might be more similar than we think.

INTERVIEW: Brittany Ishibashi (Anne) from Political Animals

July 12th, 2012

Screen shot 2012-07-10 at 4.57.54 PM

You really should tune into Political Animals on Sunday. I guarantee you’ll love it. Brittany Ishibashi plays Anne, Douglas’s (Douglas is played by James Wolk) fiancée — a bright, beautiful young interior designer who is poised to become the newest member of the Hammond family. But landing one of the country’s most eligible bachelors means signing up for a life with no distinction between the personal and the political, where every private moment because subject to public scrutiny – a life Anne hasn’t yet adjusted to. I recently had the chance to talk to Brittany at a media junket where she talked about which political families she studied for her role, how Anne and Doug met and her first experience with politics.

INTERVIEW: Sarah Rafferty (Donna) from Suits

July 12th, 2012

ustv_suits_sarah_rafferty

I am obsessed with Suits. It is so incredibly clever and well-written and such great summer fun. This season has ramped up the drama with Mike being in danger of losing his job (because of that whole didn’t go to Harvard Law thing) and his relationship with Rachel is maybe finished before it even started. One of the big bright spots of this season has been Donna. She has a bigger role this season and her budding friendship with Rachel is fantastic. I recently had the chance to chat with Sarah Rafferty (who plays Donna) about what’s coming up this season, what Donna was before she started at the law firm and an upcoming flashback episode.
