Best TV of 2012

December 24th, 2012

This year, The TV Chick was lucky enough to have some great writers as part of the team. So instead of just my top TV of 2012 list, Sarah is weighing in with her choices as well. 2012 has had a ton of fantastic television — from our favorite British couple finally tying the knot in Downton, to an engagement in Pawnee and my favorite terrorist and yours (Brody, of course) coming full circle. It’s safe to say that 2012 will go down as a year to remember in television and it was hard to choose shows for my list!

REVIEW: The Vampire Diaries “O Come, All Ye Faithful”

December 14th, 2012

O Come, All Ye Faithful

Hey peeps – TVD is all new with their mid-season finale – “O Come, All Ye Faithful.” FULL DISCLOSURE: I watched tonight’s episode with a friend that has never seen The Vampire Diaries and doesn’t own a TV. Let’s just say she’s working though Frasier on Netflix right now. So, I missed things yo. Because of that, I’m going to do a shorter summary this evening lest I get things really wrong from not hearing everything as I shouted Vampire! Human! Witch! Hybrid! every time someone came on the screen so she’d get the gist. The good news is we don’t need to deal with GfAW anymore after tonight.

INTERVIEW: Joseph Morgan (Klaus) from The Vampire Diaries previews tonight’s Big Mid-Season Finale

December 13th, 2012

TVD Klaus

Tonight is the big mid-season finale of The Vampire Diaries, and from what I’m hearing, not everyone is going to survive the night. And from talking to Joseph Morgan (Klaus), not everyone is going to survive the season, either. When last we left Klaus, he was having a really nice moment with Caroline, and actually teasing her (and laughing) which was such a nice change of pace. What I think makes Klaus so interesting is how much the audience roots for a character who has done some truly evil things. When I spoke with Joseph Morgan, he talked about the Caroline/Klaus relationship and how it might develop, what to expect from tonight’s Christmas themed episode, the bromance with Stefan and so much more.

REVIEW: The Vampire Diaries “We Always Have Bourbon Street”

December 7th, 2012

E here again for some more TVD – this week’s episode is “We’ll Always Have Bourbon Street.”

Damon and Elena are making out, and she is late to school! Bad seed man. Remember when Elena used to be into being a good girl? I sort of miss that.

Stefan and Caroline are discussing the siring situation and debating whether that’s the deal or not. This is cross cut with Elena and Damon having a morning quickie in which she scratches his back until he bleeds. Yikes, seriously, good girl gone bad.

INTERVIEW: Seamus Dever (Ryan) from Castle

December 3rd, 2012

Castle has been firing on all cylinders this season. Not only have the writers navigated the Castle/Beckett romance beautifully, but they’ve also given us some wonderfully fun and different episodes like “Swan Song” and “Final Frontier”. I recently had the chance to chat with Seamus Dever (who plays Ryan) about tonight’s Christmas themed episode, the Ryan/Esposito bromance, his obsession with ties, and what’s coming up for the rest of the season.
