Hey, Vampire Diaries fans! Nice work! All your tweets and Facebook statuses made TVD the most talked about show on social media last week. For the first time, TVD has topped Trendrr’s list of the most social primetime TV series on broadcast television, ranking as network TV’s #1 social program during the week of January 21–27.

The Vampire Diaries fans threw a #TVDparty throughout social media last week, generating nearly 865,000 social interactions across Twitter, Facebook, GetGlue and Viggle according to Trendrr.TV, taking a bite out of former list topper American Idol and besting iconic hits such as The Simpsons, Family Guy and Glee.

Necessary Roughness fans! The show is back tonight! Will Dani choose Nico? Will she go back to Matt? How is TK going to recover? Here is some info about the next half of the season: Golden Globe nominee Callie Thorne reprises her acclaimed role as Dr. Dani Santino, a Long Island psychotherapist and single mother who’s plucked out of relative obscurity to become the sports-psychologist for the New York Hawks. After running the risk of losing her entire practice, Dani attempts to pick up the pieces of her complicated life. Meanwhile, the Hawks star player and ultimate bad boy TK (Mehcad Brooks) continues to struggle with his sobriety but will stop at nothing to maintain his number-one position as wide receiver. With the team’s ownership in the balance, the fate of the franchise rests solely on the coaches and players as they face some of their most significant setbacks yet.  The team will be challenged when a secret surfaces and threatens to cause a scandal that could bring down the Hawks’ entire season. I have been waiting for The Following to premiere since I saw the pilot back in the fall, because it is just brilliant. Kevin Williamson has created a show that takes us into the psyche of a serial killer mastermind. Enter Ryan Hardy, former FBI Agent (played by Kevin Bacon) who caught this serial killer (Joe Carroll, played by James Purefoy) years ago. Oh, and Hardy also slept with Carroll’s wife and had to get a pacemaker because he almost died while catching Carroll, but I digress. Carroll isn’t your typical serial killer. He’s a former professor, who’s enamored with Edgar Allan Poe and his ideas and writing on death. While in prison, Carroll becomes the leader of a cult (or following), all of whom are equally enamored with him and Poe. Carroll and his following will stop at nothing to kill and carry out some tangled, twisted web of a plan. Over the summer, I got a chance to talk to the cast of The Following at Comic Con. James Purefoy had a lot to say about getting into the mind of a serial killer, television’s new obsession with serial killers and much more. The first question asked (which is not heard in the video) is about if he has read a lot of Poe.

If you choose to watch one new network drama this season, let it be The Following. I know, I know, you have piles of shows building up on your DVR that you haven’t gotten around to, but trust me on this one. The Following is clever, intelligent, twisted, creepy and quite brilliant. Kevin Bacon stars as Ryan Hardy, a former FBI agent with a pretty crazy history. He caught Joe Carroll, a professor/serial killer/Edgar Allan Poe worshipper and put him behind bars. But years later, Carroll is thrust back into the picture because he has created a cult (or a following) based on his vendetta/beliefs/you name it. I recently had the chance to talk to Kevin Bacon at Comic Con in San Diego, where I proudly achieved 0 degrees of Kevin Bacon. He talked about what attracted him to television, playing a flawed hero and much more.

Hey all, TVD is new again with ‘After School Special.’ The TV Chick liked my to the point summary last time, so we’ll stick with that.

Our main storyline tonight is…Rebekah is back! And guys, she is mad. Like really mad. And she wants everyone to pay for it. She has a little minion, April. (Guys, seriously. April is the worst). Rebekah is holding Elena, Caroline, and Stefan hostage in the library and compelling them to tell the truth. It’s pretty awful. Elena told Stefan about all her feeeeelings for Damon and how she’s fo sho not in love with Stefan anymore. Caroline is appropriately outraged.

Suits returns on Thursday night, and if you haven’t watched this fantastic show yet, it’s not too late to start. You can watch all 22 episodes online, On Demand or on Hulu to get caught up before the premiere. Here’s the link to watch the episodes. But I digress. The premiere is fantastic and sets up some very interesting stories for the season. How will the firm look now that Hardman’s gone? Will Mike and Rachel get it together finally? And what about Louis and his traitorous ways? The Carrie Diaries premieres tonight on the CW and I think you should check it out. Drop your preconceptions, forget about where Carrie ends up on Sex and the City (and seriously try and forget the second movie debacle) and tune in. The Carrie Diaries, based on the prequel book by Candace Bushnell, covers Carrie’s life as a high school student. In the pilot, she takes an internship at the city, which propels her into a brand new life. We also meet her friends (before Miranda, Samantha and Charlotte). There’s Mouse: the shy, loyal and super sweet one, Walt, who is going through some sexuality questions and Maggie, who is dating Walt but maybe not just Walt. And then like any good drama, Carrie has her frenemies, mainly Donna LaDonna. There’s also her love interest who happens to be the new guy in school, Sebastian Kydd. We also meet her sister, Dorrit, who is a little rebellious and taking the loss of her mom pretty hard. I recently had the chance to catch up with some of the cast on the red carpet for their big premiere. They had a lot to say about why you should tune into the show, their characters’ journeys and filming in New York City.

A few weeks ago, I had the opportunity to stop by the set of NBC’s newest family comedy, 1600 Penn, for Blogger Day to chat with the cast and check out their version of the White House. The show officially premieres tonight, January 10th, although many of you may have caught their sneak peak of the pilot a few weeks ago; the show is headlined by the talented writer/star of Book of Mormon, Josh Gad, and he’s backed up by a talented, funny cast of quirky family members. Billed as NBC’s answer to Modern family, 1600 Penn is worth checking out. The show is a fun ensemble comedy about a typical family in atypical circumstances. Check out a few teases below creator Jon Lovett and showrunner Mike Royce.
