The Biggest Loser has its 10th season premiere tomorrow night, and as usual, it totally delivers. The theme of this season is “Paying It Forward,” so the trainers will not only be helping the contestants get in shape, but they will bring it home to their communities in some way as well. The premiere features cities across the country where people show up for a work out day. We then meet three potential contestants — many of which have gone through a very hard time in their lives. However, it’s not Biggest Loser without a challenge. Three contestants in each city have to compete for two spots to go to the ranch, and then they become a team.

I have to say this premiere was very emotional. All episodes of The Biggest Loser feature transformation and change and sad moments but they really picked some amazing contestants this time around. One thing I also really liked was that there was no contestant over 500 pounds. I loved Michael last season and Shea the season before but they couldn’t possibly lose the amount of weight they need to lose in one season. This season it seems like the casting directors focused more on the people and less about how big they are, if that makes sense. I hope that Bob and Jillian train together again this season, but it seemed to work really well last season so I think it will be kept that way. I think that this season I will be even more invested in the contestants than last season. The premiere certainly doesn’t disappoint.
