INTERVIEW: Phoebe Tonkin (Faye) from The Secret Circle

September 14th, 2011

The Secret Circle premieres tomorrow night on the CW right after The Vampire Diaries. It’s meant to be a companion piece to The Vampire Diaries and it exists in a very similar world. The show centers around Cassie Blake (played by Britt Robertson) as she is forced back to her mom’s hometown after her mom dies. She’s quickly befriended by a small group of people who we learn are witches — and Cassie is one, too. Witchcraft runs through generations in this show and there’s a lot more to the town and the circle than we know. Phoebe Tonkin plays probably my favorite character on the show, Faye. Faye is the bad ass who wants to stir up trouble with her magic. I recently had the chance to catch up with the cast at Comic Con, and Phoebe told us a little more about Faye, her relationship with her mother, and how Cassie will affect her standing in the circle.

VIDEO INTERVIEW: Julie Plec (Executive Producer) from The Vampire Diaries

September 14th, 2011

TVD

Only ONE more day until the season premiere of The Vampire Diaries. I cannot even contain my excitement. Last season, we left on a major cliffhanger with Stefan going all dark and joining Klaus, Jenna dying, Klaus “killing” Elijah, and that doesn’t even scratch the surface. It is one of the best hours of television these days and I am beyond excited for tomorrow night. I recently had the chance to chat with Julie Plec, Executive Producer of the show, about what to expect this season, the decision to kill of one of the only humans left in Mystic Falls and a lot more. Check out the video interview below!

INTERVIEW: Thomas Dekker (Adam) from The Secret Circle

September 12th, 2011

As most of you already know, I adore the CW Network. One of their new (fantastic) offerings this fall is The Secret Circle, which will act as a companion piece to The Vampire Diaries (you all know my love of that show!) The Secret Circle is based on the book series by L.J. Smith (same author of The Vampire Diaries series) and centers around Cassie Blake, who comes to a new town to find out she is a witch and has powers she never even knew about. She meets a young group who call themselves The Circle and practice witchcraft without their parents knowing. One of these circle members is Adam (played by Thomas Dekker), who has to take care of his drunk, troubled father, all while going through high school and dealing with his witch powers. I recently had the chance to talk to Thomas Dekker at Comic Con, who talked about what drew him to the role, the possible relationship between Adam and Cassie (even though Adam is currently dating another girl, Diana) and Adam’s father’s past.

INTERVIEW: Kris Polaha (Henry) and Ioan Gruffudd (Andrew) from Ringer

Ringer finally premieres tonight and I’m very excited about it. The new CW show stars Sarah Michelle Gellar as twins Bridget and Siobhan. One takes the other’s place, one’s running from the law — classic, good drama. Kris Polaha plays Henry, the guy Siobhan was having an affair with and Ioan Gruffudd plays Andrew, Siobhan’s distant husband. I recently had the chance to talk to the cast at Comic Con, and both Ioan and Kris had some interesting things to say about their characters and why this show fits with the CW, instead of CBS, which it was slated for.

INTERVIEW: Sarah Michelle Gellar (Bridget and Siobhan) and Nestor Carbonell (Victor) from Ringer

September 3rd, 2011

The Fall TV season is upon us and I couldn’t be more excited. I will have tons of Fall Previews and Advance Reviews throughout the next few weeks, but one of my favorite new shows of the season is the new CW show Ringer. It stars Sarah Michelle Gellar as twins Bridget and Siobhan. Bridget suddenly finds herself in Siobhan’s shoes after a mysterious incident. And there’s more to both twins than anyone is leading on. Nestor Carbonell (of “Lost” fame) co-stars as Victor, a cop who is involved with Bridget’s case (that is also somewhat of a mystery). I recently had the chance to chat with the cast of Ringer at Comic Con and Sarah Michelle Gellar and Nestor Carbonell had a lot to say about the show, their former iconic roles and how it fits in with the CW, seeing as it was originally made for CBS.

INTERVIEW: Skyler Samuels (Chloe) and Grey Damon (Brian) from The Nine Lives of Chloe King & Video Interview

August 16th, 2011

grey and skyler

The big season finale of The Nine Lives of Chloe King is tonight and from what I hear, there are going to be a lot of cliffhangers. I am very curious to find out if Chloe chooses between Brian or Alek, if she actually kisses Brian (which could kill him!) and will someone take another one of her nine lives? I caught up with Skyler Samuels (Chloe) and Grey Damon (Brian) at Comic Con, where they talk about the big finale, their on-screen relationship and one big thing that’s going to happen in the finale. To give fair warning, if you don’t want a fairly big spoiler, don’t read the last two questions in this interview. I, for one, am excited to see what happens.

This season of Chloe King is shaping up to be a big one. Will others find out Chloe’s secret? Will she be able to choose between Brian and Alek? And what’s going to happen with her best friends, the super quirky, loyal and lovely Amy and Paul, the fiercely loyal sidekick? I recently caught up with Grace Phipps and Ki Hong Lee (who play the aforementioned Amy and Paul) at Comic Con, and we chatted about their friendship with Chloe, super powers and their favorite scenes.

INTERVIEW: Amy Pietz (Meredith King) from The Nine Lives of Chloe King

The new show The Nine Lives of Chloe King is really heating up and tonight there is an all-new episode. Will Chloe learn from being too trusting? What will the aftermath of her kiss with Alek be? And she’s obviously still in love with Brian, but can she stay away? Another big question that has been a theme throughout the season is whether or not Chloe’s mom will ever find out the truth. I recently had the chance to chat with Amy Pietz, who plays Meredith King (Chloe’s mom) about that possibility, what attracted her to the role, and Chloe’s dad coming back into the picture.

INTERVIEW: Alyssa Diaz (Jasmine) from The Nine Lives of Chloe King

ABC Family is one of my favorite networks, especially for great summer shows. The Nine Lives of Chloe King is no exception. I have really been enjoying its freshman season so far. All of the drama plus the supernatural elements plus plenty of complicated teen angst has gotten me hooked. I recently had the chance to sit down with the cast at Comic Con about the rest of the season. Alyssa Diaz, who plays Jasmine, talked about doing her own stunts, Jasmine’s relationship with her mother, and how her relationship with Chloe is going to change and grow.
