  • After my aunt had passed away I was at her house cooking and some Scottish music came on. It was an alarm that was not set and had to be turned on to then turn it off. There was no explanation for it except her just saying “hi”.

  • I’ll say this: I don’t really believe in ghosts. But I am fascinated by the idea they are out there because in a weird way I want to believe. The closest experience I’ve ever had to some kind of close encounter was when I was visiting my mom last year with my dog. He started to take on the mannerisms of my childhood dog, who lived in my mom’s apartment until she passed away a few years ago. She was a Golden Retriever and when she’d lie on my childhood bed, she took up so much room, her head would flop over the side, like someone about to get seasick. My little Shih Tzu was laying on the bed the same way. Any time I’d move him to the center, he’d find his way back. He also started scratching at the cabinet where we used to keep her treats and every now and then he’d stare at the wall as if he recognized something there. That was pretty weird.

I don’t have an experience first hand with ghosts but I did go to the Myrtle’s Plantation in St. Francisville, LA for a birthday party when I was about 8 years old. Later I find out it is regarded as one of America’s most haunted homes. I just remember there being a story about the house slave who was really good with the kids that got caught listening in on the master’s conversation and got put out in the fields. She tried to get back at him by poisoning him but the wife and kids ended up dead instead and the slave was hung. There were stories of people seeing her along with the kids in front of the house. I would to take my friend there who loves Ghost Hunters and actually stay there.

I’m a scaredy cat too! I do believe ghosts are a real possibility, and I have heard probably hundreds of stories that people swear are true, but I’ve never had an experience with one myself…that I know of, anyway!

  • Okay, I totally believe in shadow people. Like no joke! I swear there’s like figures that hide in the shadows and if you look quickly enough you’ll see them peek out and then hide very quickly back in the shadows. Some people might consider them a spectral or ghost, but I think they’re like people! I mean look at Peter Pan chasing his shadow in the nursery, that stuff is scary. So one day my friends decided to go out for a drive and it was late, like 2 or 3 in the morning, and I was like yeah sure it will be fun. So we’re going down the highway and decide to get off and go under this bridge. Next thing you know there’s all these figures peering out from the shadows all over and I’m literally screaming and my friends and like freaking out. They were like everywhere. And to this day I still have to convince them that shadow people exist and I’m not crazy!

the house two doors down from mine is haunted, at least that’s what the whole neighborhood thinks. Ironically, it’s called the ‘The Haunted House’. Back in the 90′s there was murder at the house, I heard that the husband killed the wife and then hung himself. Every now and then you can’t hear faint whispers…more like echoes usually at night. In all my years that I’ve been living in my neighborhood, the house has exchanged owners countless times. Now I’m just waiting for the day a new owner comes along.
