Sons of Anarchy is one of the many shows that reflects TV’s affair with drug trafficking. Take a look at some other shows that have covered this controversial topic.
Breaking Bad
Walter White (Brian Cranston) learns he has cancer he panics and decides he needs to find a way to save money for his family. Taking his chemistry knowledge, he partners with an ex-student/drug dealer Jesse Pinkman (Aaron Paul) to create the most perfect form of crystal meth ever sold on the streets. But soon, the cartel is after the duo and they are in way over their heads.
Weeds
Mary-Louise Parker stars in this dark comedy as Nancy Botwin, a widowed suburban mom who turns to marijuana as a means for money to support her two sons. Throughout the series she becomes involved with the DEA and also international drug cartels, all to support her family.
The Wire
The HBO drama set in Baltimore takes each season and focuses on a different facet of the city, including illegal drug trade. The many faces of character actors include a cop, a longshoreman, a drug dealer, a politician, a judge and a lawyer whose lives are all in peril.
True Blood
Following the complicated life of Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin) and her on-again off-again love triangle with vampires Bill Compton (Stephen Moyer) and Eric Northman (Alexander Skarsgard), True Blood takes a closer look at the fictional town of Bon Temps and the dangerous events that continue to unfurl. These side stories include Lafayette (Nelsan Ellis) as a drug dealer of V – vampire blood – a substance that acts as a controlled substance for humans.

Gemma is definitely my favourite character. I love how she is a kick-ass character, but really is a good mother (in her own way). She holds her own amongst all the tough boys, and shines.

My favorite character from Sons of Anarchy is Jax because he won’t let anyone get in his way from protecting his family! That’s what a true man is! I love that about him!

Tara is my favorite character in SOA because she is a strong woman who really cares about her job and family! She’s been through so much but yet is sticking around with Jax to figure things out!

Jax is my favorite SOA character. The entire show is about his journey. Jax is so conflicted, multifaceted and driven that it just makes him a fascinating character to root for.

Queen Gemma for the win! She’s so strong, so tough, and so different from any other women on television. And Katey Sagal is such a power house in the role. I love watching her on screen. She would be very closely followed by Jax, Opie, and Tara. Sons has so many fascinating and complex characters, played by such excellent actors. They make me feel all the feelings.

Gemma is my fave. She is one tough broad. She really is the backbone of the “family” and juggles her roles a lot. Katey Sagal totally owns this role.

Gemma by far! Katey Sagal is. Criminally w/o an Emmy nomination for one of the most complex female roles on TV.

Gemma is also my favorite character, I see I am not alone there
I have been a fan of Katey Segal for years, so I was instantly interested in knowing what her character would be like from the moment I heard about the TV show. It is such a complex and strong character for her to play, and she does it well.

It’s hard to chose just one favorite, but I love Opi. I feel like he’s always in the middle and has to make the big decisions. Also, he’s so loyal to Jax and ah, cannot wait to see how he plays in Season 5.

Opie. He’s probably the most sympathetic character of them all, seeing as everything bad happens to him.

Gemma is probably my favorite, I just really like what Katey Sagal brings to the role.

Jax because he’s the ultimate family man.

Hmm, depends on my mood. Jax, Gemma, or Tig because he’s crazytown. But, I’ll probably go with Jax because he is the least evil of my faves.

Have to go with Jax. It was his character that brought me back episode after episode. His inner struggle to do the right thing has been been a compelling journey to follow.

I’d say Jax.

To be honest, I have never seen the show. Perhaps this is my chance to see what everyone is talking about this “Gemma” character.

Opie…. he’s so loyal to the end. He knows he wants it over after his first wife died. He keeps losing so much but he seems to be the best of them all.
