GIVEAWAY: V Season 1 DVD – CLOSED
December 23rd, 2010 by thetvchick
In the spirit of the Holidays, I am excited to offer this great giveaway courtesy of Warner Brothers. For those who may not know, V is a re-boot of the 1983 miniseries of the same name. This new series is about the arrival on Earth of an advanced alien species who says they come in peace, but are covering up a grander mission. With the Vs comes chaos and The Fifth Column who wants to take them down. V stars Morena Baccarin, Morris Chestnut, Elizabeth Mitchell, Laura Vandervoort and Scott Wolf. The show returns to ABC on January 4th at 9 pm and if last season was any indication, this one is going to be quite good. The season finale ended on a big cliffhanger, and if you haven’t watched, now is the perfect time to catch up. Keep reading to see how you can enter to win the complete first season on DVD.
V Season 1 on DVD contains these special features:
• The Actor’s Journey from Human to V featurette
• The Makeup FX of V featurette:
• The World of V featurette
• The Visual FX of V featurette
• Producer Commentary on Episode 11
• Deleted scenes
To enter to win, leave me a comment and tell me if you think it’s possible that a species like the Vs could exist.
V Season 1 is currently available on Blu-Ray and DVD. Season 2 premieres January 4th at 9 pm on ABC.

Thanks for sharing! And good question. I don’t know about the reptilian species portrayed on “V,” but I definitely think any alien species showing up looking like us is probably hiding a very not-like-us reality underneath the proverbial “Edgar Suit.”

Well absolutely anything is possible, but just because it’s possible doesn’t mean it’s likely. That’s what I love about entertainment, it takes you away to a world where not only can anything happen, but it actually does.

I watch Doctor Who; I’m sure aliens are out there someplace. (And a man in a little blue box!
)Hopefully they’re friendlier and less homicidal than the V aliens or, say, the Slitheen on Who.

To be honest it is not something we are supposed to talk about.. Our people just want to be left alone!
. It is better to just pretend that we don’t exist..

I meet people I think must be aliens every day.

The Visitors are quite advanced but I like that they are just faux human. It is so much more likely that any species from another world would have other characteristices and other moralities. I love that they are intelligent enough to be sneaky and have researched us, much like the later Star Trek where research teams inflitrated to learn about cultures and other species before running in like the original Federation like cowboys hunting Indians and then making stupid assumptions. I respect the Vistors for their cunning though I love their mystery and alternative ethics. Its such a great twist on little green men and being inferior even when they clearly have more advanced technology to work with. My daughter and I LOVED V and while she is home recovering from chemo, it would be terrific to have the last season to keep her time busy.
Love your site.

Like they say — anything is possible. Are there UFO’s and aliens?

It’s possible, but extremely unlikely!

Great giveaway. Not to sound like everyone else, but yes I think it is possible. Somewhere else, a species had to evolve in a manner similar, or perhaps more likely differently than us.
Can’t wait for season 2, thank you!!

Scary as the thought is, I think they could exist.
