Glee Videos: Sue Sylvester’s (Jane Lynch) Vogue & Performances from Hell-O
April 14th, 2010 by thetvchick
How did you like Glee’s triumphant return? I know I loved it (even if the Madonna episode is leagues above), and the ratings agree with me. The Gleeks are truly a strong contingent, as Glee broke records with 13.6 million viewers. This show deserves so much success so I’m ecstatic it did so well. I hope the momentum continues to build through the back 9 episodes.
I wanted to share with you my favorite videos/songs from last night, as well as Sue Sylvester’s Vogue rendition. I will say I was a little surprised they released the video before it airs in the episode because the Madonna episode is so amazing and the context of the video is equally so. However, no one should be without the magic of Vogue, so I wanted to share it anyway.
Sue Sylvester does Vogue:
Jonathan Groff and Lea Michele sing Lionel Richie’s “Hello”
Glee cast sings “Hello, Goodbye”

Thought you might want to know that I mentioned your site on pages 124 and 126 in my new book, Glee: Totally Unofficial. Love your blog posts, reviews and interviews!

Awesome, thanks so much! I had heard from a couple people I was mentioned in your book–it’s much appreciated. Can I ask about the book writing process? (E.g.: getting a publisher, the idea for it, etc.) I’m just curious to know!
Thanks again!

You’re welcome. I love your site, your interviews, and your TV recommendations.
This is actually the second nonfiction book I’ve had published. It’s a little different from the world of fiction, where an agent is essential. For these specific niche topics, genre editors are often approachable for pitched proposals. In the case of this Glee book, I worked with a third party who had an existing relationship with the publisher, Triumph (an imprint of Random House), who specializes in sports, TV, movies, music, and other celebrity-themed topics. I was fortunate enough that they came to me and asked me to work on the proposal and write the book.
If you have an idea for a book within this genre, please feel free to email me directly, and I could “introduce” you via email to my contact, and maybe the two of you could work on a proposal together. I enjoy your writing and know you have a lot of contacts in the industry, and I’m a firm believer in the comradery of supporting fellow writers.
