It was a pretty good year for Fringe’s Jasika Nicole – not only did her character get her hands dirty out in the field, but Astrid Farnsworth finally received her very own episode, an hour that was both long overdue and well-deserved.

When we pick up with the season five premiere, we’ll be transported back to the world as it exists in 2036, where Astrid and Walter were trapped in amber for a number of years before being rescued by Etta and Simon.

“She is the same Astrid that we know…she’s just been frozen in time. So she’s in a completely different environment,” Nicole shares when asked what Astrid will be like in this new Observer-filled world. Want to hear more?
