Just a few months ago, fans waited with baited breath while networks rolled out their new fall schedules, praying that they would see their favorite show score a deserving final season. But for John Noble, there was never any question that the show wouldn’t be renewed.

“I was always optimistic that we would be coming back,” the star shared at Comic Con this summer. “I couldn’t believe that they wouldn’t finish the story. The ending of season four was lovely, but it wasn’t the ending of Fringe.”

From saying goodbye to his alternate universe character “Walternate” to re-connecting with Peter in the newest rebooted timeline, Noble certainly outdid himself last season in terms of fantastic work.
