Monday night is the big season finale of Pretty Little Liars and I am beyond excited. Will all of our questions finally be answered? I have a feeling we will be given some answers and left with many more questions. In Rosewood, there are so many secrets, but will we find out even more? I recently had the chance to catch up with the stars of the show and they had a lot to say about what’s coming up. Shay Mitchell, who plays Emily Fields, talked about not one but two girls after Emily’s affection, the whole Paige mess, and what she’d like to see from Emily in season two.

So when I spoke to Marlene King, she said there would be two girls vying for Emily’s attention –
Yes.

So can you talk a little bit about that? Could it be Samara?
Well, I mean we do have Paige. And there could be somebody else. And Maya’s still here. They had a very strong relationship. So yeah. But Emily’s having fun right now and I love the fact that Paige totally brought out that crazy wild side of Emily. I think that’s really neat. It was fun to play her and the whole karaoke scene was so much fun.

And what are we going to see from Paige and Emily going forward? Last week seemed like it might be coming to an end.
I don’t know. Like I said, Emily is going to continue to have fun. As far as how far it’s going to go and where it’s going to go, you have to watch!

And there’s a lot of Emily and Maya fans out there –
There are a lot of Emily and Maya fans out there and all I want to say is that Maya hasn’t disappeared off the face of the planet. She is still here. Her coming back to Rosewood is a possibility.

Are we going to see more with Emily and her parents?
I think so. I mean, I don’t know, I’m not going to speak for the writers. But I would think that we would see more with her parents. I think it’s an important relationship to showcase.

What would you like to see from Emily going forward in season 2?
I want to see her continuing to enjoy her life and meet new people that bring out different sides of her. As far as playing her, I think that’s always the best, is getting to play her dealing with different people. Because it’s so much fun. Different people bring out different things about somebody. And I love what Paige’s character has brought out in her just as much as I loved what Maya’s character had brought out in her. It’s really cool. I’m having a great time.

Are we going to learn more about Ali and Emily’s relationship?
You definitely will. That’s such a huge storyline. And as far as what happened that night, that’s still a big mystery. So we have to show that. You will get a lot of your questions answered and then you will have a lot more questions because that’s just the way it goes. (laughs)

Do you have a favorite scene that you’ve shot?
Oh my gosh, there’s too many favorite scene. I’ll always love the homecoming [scene] running with  Keegan [Allen, who plays Toby] , screaming at the top of my lungs in heels. That was a great moment. I also love all the intimate scenes I have with the girls — with Paige. Look at me, with all the girls! I love the scenes with the four of us girls. All of those closers, those are always so great because we get to work together. And that’s fun. I love everything that I’ve shot, but those are the ones that have stood out.

And have you gotten a lot of good fan reactions to your character?
Yeah the fans are amazing. From Twitter and from Facebook, getting to hear fans from all around the world from them watching it on Hulu or whatever, they just say that my character has really helped them be true to who they are. And if it’s brought up the topic with them and their family, then they are so thankful for that. I say, that’s great. The writers are unbelievable and the material that I’ve had to work with is so great, and if it’s helping people deal with the same issues my character is dealing with, then that’s awesome.

In the finale, will we see some resolutions, and get some answers?
Yeah, you will. There might be some more that you’ll get after that but a lot of questions that you had will be answered and you’ll get a lot more clues, if anything, in the finale. So there is a big clue that gets brought up that will help a lot of people out with their “I wonder who A is?” question.
