Hi my little liars, I know it’s been a few weeks since I’ve done a formal review but rest assured, I have been watching and taking notes as we get closer and closer to finding out who A is. Last night’s episode was stellar and we met a new character who may get us closer to A. We also saw the cruel power that A wields over everyone. This time, A almost got Jenna killed in a house fire.

So, let’s start with Aria. Her dating life is a bit in shambles after her parents found out about Ezra and they are obviously none too pleased. Sadly, there are no lovely ‘Ezria’ moments in this episode, but there is a big development regarding their relationship. More on that later. Aria meets up with Duncan, who thought she was Vivian (aka Ali) at the end of the last episode. Aria breaks the news to Duncan that Vivian/Ali is dead and he’s incredibly broken up about it. We learn that Duncan and Ali were very close and she used to take her flying (literally, flying in a plane). The day she disappeared, he flew her from South Carolina to Rosewood. The girls put together that this means Ali was in Rosewood hours before she said she was and could have been meeting up with someone. ‘A’ perhaps?

Then we have Emily. Her love life is also in shambles, since Maya left and didn’t tell anyone where she was going. Can we get Samara back please? I realize she’s off being a kick-ass Original vampire on the CW, but I miss her on this show. Anyway, Emily gets a rather heartbreaking goodbye/end of their relationship email from Maya and does the right thing and tells her parents that Maya’s okay (even if it’s against Maya’s wishes).

And Spencer. Oh, Spencer. I am so sorry your relationship with Toby fell apart because he’s pretty great and good looking. And I’m sad he’s back helping Jenna post-eye surgery. Anyway, Spencer is the one who puts together clues from a bag of Ali’s things that Jason found. There’s newspapers from 2009 and highlighted clues. Spencer thinks maybe they can figure out where Ali was in Rosewood that day she went missing. She also has a sweet encounter with Wren, and things with them are left slightly open-ended.

Hanna is probably the only one with a good love life at this point, but we didn’t see Caleb in last night’s episode. Instead, we saw Hanna save Jenna from a burning house. Jenna got a text from Jason (but not really Jason) saying they needed to talk. Also, Hanna’s mom is determined to find out what’s going on in her life so she is without a phone until Mona gives her one that’s on her plan. Bad idea, Han.

One of my favorite story lines of last night’s episode though was with Ezra and the Montgomerys. Ella goes to talk to Ezra and makes it clear she is not an ally of this relationship but doesn’t think that him taking the job in New Orleans that Byron set up is necessarily the right answer. She also asks if he knew of anyone that would try and expose their relationship and threaten them. Ezra said there was someone (Jackie, obviously) but there isn’t anymore. Then, it’s Byron’s turn to talk to Ezra, and Ezra really lays the smack down. He is not going to run away and take the easy way out. Go Ez! I was excited to see him stand up to Byron and refuse to let him control his fate.

So, are we closer to finding out who A is? Slightly. We know that she met someone in Rosewood the day she disappeared. We know Melissa was harassing her. We know she might have known about Jason being Spencer’s half brother. (I feel like the episode of Friends — but they don’t know we know they know we know. Ha!) We also know that Duncan probably has some insight into Ali’s life. And how does creepy Jenna factor in? She obviously knows more than she’s leading on. A is revealed in two weeks and I can’t wait. I want to know now! What are your theories? Who do you think A is?
