REVIEW: The Vampire Diaries “Into the Wild”

February 8th, 2013

vampire_diaries_into_the_wild

Yo peeps, ‘Into the Wild’ is our most recent episode of TVD. And I think it was good, really good.

The majority of this episode is sort of like a vampire-esque LOST situation. Meaning, they’re on an island. And peeps need to learn to live together or they’ll die alone. Heavy. So, the Professor is leading the gang to where the cure/Silas is. The gang includes Damon, Stefan, Rebekah, Elena, Bonnie, and Jeremy. Rebekah sees a use for everyone except for Elena…Damon’s use is his nice behind obvs. We finally also find out the heart of the Professor’s story. He apparently went on a quest for this place last year where he saw his dead witch wife (who died when she was trying to bring their son back to life) in the Silas well area. She’s the one who gave him all the info he needed for this raising Silas business. He really didn’t want to do it because of all the bloodshed and all, but she used her dead lady wiles and convinced him.

REVIEW: The Vampire Diaries “A View to a Kill”

A View to a Kill

Hey peeps! Sorry I was out last week; I was feeling like the grossness. Last week was good ya’ll though. I mean, really, this alone: “You don’t know what I look like when I don’t love you.” Hot dang, those are some words. In any case, TVD is new again this week with ‘A View to a Kill.’

REVIEW: The Vampire Diaries “After School Special”

Hey all, TVD is new again with ‘After School Special.’ The TV Chick liked my to the point summary last time, so we’ll stick with that.

Our main storyline tonight is…Rebekah is back! And guys, she is mad. Like really mad. And she wants everyone to pay for it. She has a little minion, April. (Guys, seriously. April is the worst). Rebekah is holding Elena, Caroline, and Stefan hostage in the library and compelling them to tell the truth. It’s pretty awful. Elena told Stefan about all her feeeeelings for Damon and how she’s fo sho not in love with Stefan anymore. Caroline is appropriately outraged.

Sarah’s Snap Shots: Claire Danes For All The Emmys Edition

October 16th, 2012

CLAIRE DANES FOR ALL OF THE EMMYS. Yes, I realize the Internet gave all the Emmys to Monica Potter a few weeks ago for that episode where she finds out she has cancer. But dammit, Claire Danes deserves all of the Emmys too. Seriously though, we’re only 3 episodes into the new season of Homeland and Claire Danes has already earned her inevitable 2013 Emmy. I don’t think I’ve ever been so simultaneously heartbroken and happy for a TV character the way I was for Carrie at the end of this week’s episode when Saul showed her Brody’s video. I get emotional just thinking about it. Every single episode of S2 has knocked it out of the park, and there are no signs of that changing. I would watch a new episode of this show every day of the week if I could…IS IT SUNDAY YET?!

REVIEW: The Vampire Diaries “The Departed”

The Departed

E back again for the season 3 finale of The Vampire Diaries. Guys, “The Departed” was such a great episode; it’s going to be really hard to not type most of this in ALL CAPS. For real, this may be one of my favorite all time episodes…maybe of all shows…in all the history of the TV machine.

REVIEW: The Vampire Diaries “Before Sunset”

May 4th, 2012

Before Sunset

“Before Sunset” is the penultimate episode of TVD’s season and we definitely had some drama!

We open with Alaric sitting at his desk like a creeper. Caroline is also at school talking to Tyler on the phone – Caroline has to take down dance decorations and Tyler had to pack up Klaus’s house because he’s ready to move on. Rebekah is also there cleaning up and is super bummed that she had to miss the dance and also that her mom is awful – her disappointment level is about the same for both perhaps? She also gives her condolences to Caroline re: Alaric. Speak of the vampire – Alaric takes Caroline hostage and starts a little torturing.

REVIEW: The Vampire Diaries “Do Not Go Gentle”

April 27th, 2012

OK, so I wasn’t that hot on this episode. I felt bummed at the end of ‘Do Not Go Gentle.’ [Ed. Note: It also wasn't my favorite of the season. Good, but I was a bit bummed too.]

We open with Klaus talking to Rebekesther. She brings him the stake from Alaric, and he throws it into the fire. Problem solved! (Except not, because we’re only 1 minute into the episode). Klaus wants to leave town pronto, but Rebekesther wants to stay for the dance (because there are big doins’ yet to come).

REVIEW: The Vampire Diaries “Heart of Darkness”

E here for some super awesome power hearts TVD. ‘Heart of Darkness’ is what we’re working with tonight…doesn’t it seem like that’s been a title before?

We begin with Alaric in the jail/cage room at the SHBP. They’re keeping him locked up (with his permission) in the hopes that Bizarro Alaric will come out to play and tell them where the stake is hidden. Stefan is going to watch over things while Damon and Elena go take a Discover Elena’s Feelings trip to Colorado to pick up Jer Bear since Colorado is no longer safe. Alaric asks Elena if Stefan is bummed about this trip, but it was his idea because he wants to be with Elena who loves only him and not also his brother – so she needs to figure out his feelings (guess he’s not interested in making a sort of different ‘Big Love’ series?).

REVIEW: The Vampire Diaries “Murder of One”

March 30th, 2012

ustv_vampire_diaries_s03_e18_6

Good one TVD peeps, good one! We’re back to basics with “The Murder of One.”

We begin with Elena bringing food to Alaric, and Damon answering the door…and being shifty. Which isn’t anything that unusual. Elena knows something is up, but she lets it go for the most part which is sort of out of character. Anywho, she leaves. Stefan, Damon, and Alaric have become woodworkers and are making a small mess of fancy stakes. Alaric then starts to pack it in so that he can go turn his crazy, murdering self in. The boys are like, nah, don’t do that. So, he doesn’t. Man they have got some power this morning.

REVIEW: The Vampire Diaries “1912″

March 16th, 2012

TVD316b_1586b

E back again for some more TVD – this time with “1912.” I was worried as I had been once before that this was going to be a “swim team” (See: http://thetvchick.com/flashback-fridays/flashback-friday-boy-meets-world-week-7/) episode, but once again I was pleasantly surprised. Not my favorite episode, but some interesting plot development…if you know what I mean, and I think you do.
