REVIEW: The Vampire Diaries “Stand By Me”

February 22nd, 2013

Peeps, I don’t know. I just don’t know. I kind of think this show is just getting too sad. Is that a thing? It’s got to be because seriously, it’s just too much. ‘Stand By Me’ is our latest episode of TVD, and as you may have guessed…it’s sad. Not even tear inducing though, just sort of numb sad.

REVIEW: The Vampire Diaries “After School Special”

January 18th, 2013

The-Vampire-Diaries-4x10-After-School-Special-Promotional-Still-HD-the-mikealson-family-33258570-500-333

Hey all, TVD is new again with ‘After School Special.’ The TV Chick liked my to the point summary last time, so we’ll stick with that.

Our main storyline tonight is…Rebekah is back! And guys, she is mad. Like really mad. And she wants everyone to pay for it. She has a little minion, April. (Guys, seriously. April is the worst). Rebekah is holding Elena, Caroline, and Stefan hostage in the library and compelling them to tell the truth. It’s pretty awful. Elena told Stefan about all her feeeeelings for Damon and how she’s fo sho not in love with Stefan anymore. Caroline is appropriately outraged.

REVIEW: The Vampire Diaries “We Always Have Bourbon Street”

December 7th, 2012

DamonUniform

E here again for some more TVD – this week’s episode is “We’ll Always Have Bourbon Street.”

Damon and Elena are making out, and she is late to school! Bad seed man. Remember when Elena used to be into being a good girl? I sort of miss that.

Stefan and Caroline are discussing the siring situation and debating whether that’s the deal or not. This is cross cut with Elena and Damon having a morning quickie in which she scratches his back until he bleeds. Yikes, seriously, good girl gone bad.

REVIEW: The Vampire Diaries “We All Go A Little Mad Sometimes”

November 16th, 2012

tvd

Hey people, TVD is new again with “We All Go A Little Mad Sometimes.” With the holidays fast approaching, I get it. (Ba dun bing). Okay, we’re not talking about this opening anymore. It keeps changing every week, and I’ll just have to accept it even though it’s weird to me.

REVIEW: The Vampire Diaries “Memorial”

October 19th, 2012

Memorial

October is awesome because there is so much Vampire Diaries to be had, whee! This week’s episode is ‘Memorial.’ First things first, the new opening is here to stay. With added bonus material this week!

We begin with Elena and Stefan in the woods getting ready to do some hunting. This scene is crosscut with Damon and Stefan arguing about Stefan’s plan to get her on the straight and narrow right off the bat by eating only animals. He’s hoping she can avoid a bender this way whereas Damon is like, vamps eat people – this is one of your dumber plans. We cut back to Stefan and Elena in the woods – things are about to get hot. Everything is now heightened for Elena – we’re hearing heartbeats and everything. But, then she goes and barfs some blood. Ruh roh.

REVIEW: The Vampire Diaries “Growing Pains”

October 12th, 2012

TVDGP1

HEY PARTY PEOPLE. I am shouting at you…because it’s time for season 4 of The Vampire Diaries. Woo hoo, pound it out.

We start ‘Growing Pains’ with some sort of a new opening? Maybe? I don’t know. But I like it. Elena says, “I’m human, at least I was.” Oh nos.

Elena is now waking up with some heightened senses. She’s all confused, but learns that Matt is fine, phew. (Hatas gonna hate, but I’ve got some Matt love.) Damon and Stefan are catching her up on what’s she’s missed. She doesn’t want to be a vamp. They’ve got a few hours for Bonnie to come up with a solution as Bonnie’s level on the Badassity Meter is rising.

Five Things To Know About The Vampire Diaries Season 4

October 11th, 2012

Growing Pains

I have seen the first two episodes of The Vampire Diaries and they are fantastic. We have a new vampire hunter in town (Connor) who is most definitely going to wreak havoc on Mystic Falls, and a new Mystic Falls temporary resident, April Young (the Pastor’s daughter, played by Nine Lives of Chloe King star Grace Phipps). Season four is going to have a lot of adjustment. Elena has to transition to become a vampire and once she becomes one, how will her life change? I have been given very explicit directions as to what I can’t spoil for everyone (and no one wants to be spoiled on this fantastic show), so here are five things to know about season four that contain only very minor spoilers.

REVIEW: The Vampire Diaries “The Departed”

May 11th, 2012

The Departed

E back again for the season 3 finale of The Vampire Diaries. Guys, “The Departed” was such a great episode; it’s going to be really hard to not type most of this in ALL CAPS. For real, this may be one of my favorite all time episodes…maybe of all shows…in all the history of the TV machine.

REVIEW: The Vampire Diaries “Break On Through”

March 23rd, 2012

ustv_vampire_diaries_s03_e17_4

I’m going to be honest; I thought this episode, ‘Break on Through’ was just aight. Not a ton happened, and what did was not that exciting.

We begin with Alaric getting an MRI. He’s looking at himself in the mirror in the MRI machine and the evil version of himself is peering at him. Weirdness. Dr. Fell and Elena are talking about how Dr. Fell just wants to help him because he is out of control right now. Of course nothing comes back weird on the MRI because it’s some mystical voodoo. He takes the ring off because I guess he doesn’t want the evil all up in his piece.

On Saturday, March 10th PaleyFest hosted The Vampire Diaries for the second time in 3 years. Here are my picks for the 10 top moments from the panel (which was hilarious and you should all check it out when it pops up on Hulu in a few days):
