REVIEW: Make It Or Break It “Dream On”

April 24th, 2012

NICOLE ANDERSON, KATHY NAJIMY

The intensity was insane on last night’s episode of Make It Or Break It. Two members of the National Team were cut from the USATC and some friendships might be ruined. There’s also a snitch and not one that we expected. Will The Rock girls all make it to the Olympic team? How do Wendy and Jordan factor in? The pressure is certainly on for these girls as the season and the road to the Olympics winds down.

REVIEW: Make It Or Break It “Growing Pains”

CASSIE SCERBO, AYLA KELL

Last night’s episode of Make It Or Break It focused on a gymnastics exhibition for the girls’ parents. It also featured a stunning homage to Olympic gymnasts of the past (I’ll talk more about that later). It became clear that alliances have been drawn and certain relationships are growing. We do finally learn what’s wrong with Lauren, but to a degree. I want to know conclusively already! And guess who’s back? KP’s horrible mom, Sheila (played by Kathy Najimi).

REVIEW: Make It Or Break It “Time Is Of The Essence”

Last night’s episode of Make It Or Break it was quite intense, probably one of the most intense of the series. An NGO supervisor comes into the USATC to see how the new coach is doing, and it’s not good news. The team isn’t really gelling and they don’t trust him as a coach. And an even bigger rift is caused when the truth behind the leaked kiss cam video is revealed.

REVIEW: Make It Or Break It “It Takes Two”

April 3rd, 2012

Last night’s Make It Or Break it was very intriguing and set some more interesting things up for the season. The National Team coach decides to pair the girls up to mix it up and encourage a team mentality. However, the pairings are interesting. Lauren is still struggling with her dizzy spells but hasn’t admitted it to anyone yet. We also met a new cute guy, which is always fun. And he’s interested in Payson!

REVIEW: Make It Or Break It “What Lies Beneath/Worlds Apart”

Make it or break it

Last night’s big two hour season finale of Make It Or Break It “What Lies Beneath/Worlds Apart” was pretty wonderful. The whole season has been leading up to the World Championships and this episode was definitely not a let down. It featured some major breakthroughs for the girls of The Rock, Summer and even KP. I knew she had it in her to be good. There’s also a major twist that I did not see coming.

REVIEW: Make It Or Break It “Dog Eat Dog”

Last night’s episode of Make It Or Break It, titled “Dog Eat Dog” focused on one of the non-Rock girls, Kelly Parker. I was a little skeptical at first, but actually, last night’s episode was really good. I liked finding out about Kelly Parker’s life. We now know what is behind her bitchyness, and it’s not pretty. This is not to say that the episode didn’t feature The Rock girls at all, because Kaylie and Payson both play a big role. But I enjoyed KP (her new nickname) and her mom/manager, played by Kathy Najimy.

REVIEW: Make It Or Break It “To Thine Own Self Be True”

MAKE-IT-OR-BREAK-IT-To-Thine-Own-Self-Be-True-2

Last night’s episode of Make It Or Break It “To Thine Own Self Be True” featured some big breakthroughs (mentally, emotionally and physically) for a few characters. There was a good amount of gymnastics (which I love) and the Lauren craziness was minimal (although she is still super manipulative and ridiculous). I really liked the title of this episode, because it was very fitting. Each character struggles with being true to themselves and I think that’s something we all struggle with. Whoa, just got deep over an episode of Make It Or Break It, guys. Serious stuff. It also felt kind of weird without Emily. I’m sure she’ll be back on the show by finale time.
