If you haven’t seen Psych, now is the time to start. Get on Netflix, buy the DVDs, whatever method you prefer, but it’s time. Entering it’s 7th Season tonight on USA, Psych doesn’t miss a beat. It’s still the same quirky, funny show that it’s always been. One of the things I’ve always loved about Psych is that the writers aren’t afraid to try a new style or find a new genre to spoof. The first few episodes of Season 7 are no exception. Tonight’s premiere is an emotional, action-packed follow-up to last season’s cliffhanger. It’s must-watch TV. Psych returns on February 27th to USA Network, and to get fans pumped up for the new season, USA Network is hosting a big Psych slumber party this Friday night. Sounds fun, right? Suits returns on Thursday night, and if you haven’t watched this fantastic show yet, it’s not too late to start. Suits has had a stellar season so far. Harvey is being sued for fraud, Donna just got fired because she’s kind of the reason he got sued and the big bosses are fighting it out. Political Animals premieres tonight and you can all tell I’m pretty excited about it. Even in the Comic Con haze that I am in, I am glad everyone finally gets to see the premiere tonight. Sigourney Weaver stars as former first lady and current Secretary of State Elaine Barrish Hammond who is attempting to keep her family together while simultaneously dealing with crises of the State Department and fending off the hungry DC journalist (Carla Gugino) who is bent on destroying her career. Exploring themes that resonate in the current political landscape and taking viewers beyond the glossy ads and well-written public speeches, Political Animals will reveal a vulnerable family on the verge of falling apart. Political Animals premieres on Sunday and it pulls back the curtain on the polished facade of politics to reveal a fractured family. Weaver’s performance is powerful and riveting, as is the show. I recently had the chance to chat with the cast of Political Animals at a media junket. Weaver had some incredibly intelligent things to say about her character, why she chose to go into television and who Elaine is modeled after.
